pickled pig lips.....

home of the world famous...

and Miss Oinkie

a sign that has been a roadside landmark over the years

a roadside sign that proclaims I have
almost reached my destination

The elderly gent there always offered me a sample when
I’d stop to snap a photo of Miss Oinkie.

Until this year…

Miss Oinkie and her world famous
pickled pig lips (PPL) is now gone.

And her lips did not squeal, she’s just gone…

Had I known, I would have somehow found a way to fit that sign in the back of my car.

Do you hear my family sighing in relief here?

P.P.L.

Have you tried pickled pig lips?

it's just embroidery, have fun with it!

Never mind Cathy, you have the photos: that's quite enough!

No-one would ever, ever guess what that sophisticated monogram stand for~

What a bummer - I'd try them just to say that I had! Sorry about the sign, though...

Kind of sad. Did you ask where it went. Bet someone convinced him to sell it and found a way to fit it in their car. Looks like two signs fit together, strange.
No, have never tried them and this vegetarian probably never will :)

Hi Cathy..it seems a bit sad that pickled pig lips are out of favour! I must admit though, although the sign was a hoot, I would not have tried them in a pink fit..lol.

Being from Alabama, I am hanging my head in shame that I've never let PPL pass my lips!
