royal tattoos

Adjust your crowns and tiaras and
step into the royal tattoo parlor...

Royal tattoos you say?
Under all the pomp and royal finery,
some members of the royal court have
been getting inked dating back to the 1700’s.

King George V, his sons the Dukes of Clarence and York,
Edward VII, just to name a few

It’s even rumored that Queen Victoria had a small tattoo in
an undisclosed ‘private’ area—hmmmmm

Winston Churchill had an anchor tattoo.
And Winston’s mum had a snake tattooed around her wrist—she covered it with a specially crafted diamond bracelet when needed.

Only tats around here are the embroidered variety...

...although, it would be nice to have my
own specially crafted diamond bracelet!

Any tattoos under on your royal robes?

I do not, Cathy, although my daughter is another story! I think I would stick with the embroidered kind and I wouldn't mind something like this!

Tattoo free at our house, although I'm surprised one of my boys hasn't taken the plunge yet!
Your work is absolutely beautiful.

I do and when I was pregnant with twins we called the fish the whale. A do over at 18 would be good now.

No permanent ink on me! I'll stick to monograms on my sheets and towels!

Fun post! I agree that embroidered tattoos are the only kind I'd have on my body :) Happy Friday's Favorites!

I much prefer your kind of tattoo. Not keen on the real thing at all.

Your design above is definitely fit for a Royal Couple.

where do you come up with these details?! Hard to believe royalty would do that. None to be found in my house.

I want to see your idea of a William & Kate inspired monogram for the newly married couple ;)
