To reverse the bad luck curse of a
black cat crossing your path...
first walk in a circle,
then go backward across the spot where it happened
and count to 13...
American Superstition Folklore
King Charles I of England owned a black cat, whom he considered to be his good luck charm. He treasured the cat so much that he had his guards watch over it 24 hours a day.
As luck would have it, the day after the cat died, the king was arrested by Oliver Cromwell’s parliamentary troops and shortly thereafter, beheaded.

Wow, Cathy, that is scary! I read somewhere that black kittens don't get purchased or adopted the way other colors do. I have always wanted a black cat that I would name Magick! xo
2 more winning designs! I love them both. How do you come up with such adorable ideas?
Love that towel, Cathy! Is that your hat? ; ) I didn't know that you could reverse a black cat crossing your path. Good to know!
The Mother of my oldest and dearest friend told me about reversing the black cat bad luck when I was a child, many, many years ago. She also made me leave her house by the same door I had entered.
